New Battlefield 1942 1.61 Update A new update for Battlefield 1942 is now available and all official servers have moved to this new version. The update addresses an undisclosed exploit that was reported to EA by community member Luigi Auriemma. Many thanks go to Luigi for identifying and reporting the issue.
The update includes just the binaries and the changed init.con file. This file is checksummed in bf1942, so the bf1942 update also includes the checksum file. As always, back up your files before updating.
1.6 Dedicated Server Hotfix
This hotfix is intended to correct an exploit which is currently in the Battlefield 1942 dedicated server. This hotfix will only be effective for the DEDICATED SERVER.
